Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

When you create an account, interact with our Service, or communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Account credentials
  • User-submitted preferences, comments, or profile data

B. Information Collected by the Chrome Extension

With your permission, the Crux Auto Chrome extension may access and collect specific elements or fields from pages within repair order management systems that you actively use. This may include:

  • Repair order identifiers and associated record details
  • Vehicle information contained within the repair record
  • Technician names and their email addresses associated with repair assignments

Collection only occurs to support user-facing features such as enabling workflow automation, assignment visibility, and reporting. We do not collect full webpage content or general browsing activity.

C. Usage and Technical Data

We may collect device information, browser type, log information, diagnostic data, usage patterns, and performance data related to your interaction with the Service.

D. Account and Authentication Data

Because the Service requires a login, we store user account identifiers and session information.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features
  • Sync data to your account and enable browser extension functionality
  • Improve performance, user experience, and reliability
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Send service-related notifications (e.g., feature updates, security alerts)

We do not use or process the data collected by the extension for advertising, user profiling, or resale.

Chrome Web Store Compliance

The Chrome extension’s data access is user-initiated, permission-gated, and strictly limited to supporting repair order workflow features that are clearly described in the Chrome Web Store listing and within the extension UI.

  • We do not collect web browsing history.
  • We do not access webpage content outside of repair order management systems relevant to user workflows.
  • We do not use any collected data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
  • We do not permit human review of user data except where the user explicitly requests support, where required for security, where required by law, or after aggregation/anonymization.

We comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, Minimum Permission requirements, and Limited Use restrictions. Before personal or sensitive data is collected, the extension displays a clear in-product disclosure describing the data being accessed and how it will be used, and requires the user to take an affirmative action to grant consent.

Data Processing and Storage

Crux Auto processes and stores data on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access controls, and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share data only:

  • With service providers who assist in delivering the Service (e.g., AWS and similar vendors)
  • With affiliated entities under the same ownership and privacy commitments
  • If required by law enforcement or legal process
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition

Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to maintain your account, provide the Service, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at privacy@cruxauto.ai. After account deletion, synced data will be permanently removed from our systems.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@cruxauto.ai.

Security

We use commercially acceptable measures to protect personal data; however, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We continuously improve safeguards to protect your information.

Third-Party Links

Our website or Service may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed outside your state or country. Where applicable, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data during cross-border transfers.

Limited Use Disclosure (Chrome Extension)

The Crux Auto Chrome extension’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs and access to Chrome data adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Crux Auto only uses such data to provide and improve user-facing features of the extension, does not transfer data except as required to operate those features or comply with law, does not use data for advertising purposes, and does not allow humans to read the data except where permitted by the Limited Use policy.
